Advanced Regenerative Medicine is a natural method of providing repair, relief and regeneration to joints in the body by unlocking the body’s natural healing processes. This is accomplished by igniting youthful healing properties by introducing a specific combination of Stem Cells, PRP, or Growth Factor into the joint. It is one of the newest means of offering pain management services to those who could never get relief with more traditional methods of treatment.
Although blood is mainly a liquid (called plasma), it also contains small solid components (red cells, white cells and platelets.) The platelets are best known for their importance in clotting blood. However, platelets also contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors which are very important in the healing of injuries.
PRP is plasma with many more platelets than what is typically found in blood. The concentration of platelets — and, thereby, the concentration of growth factors — can be five to 10 times greater (or richer) than usual.
Just a few months ago, it seemed like it would be years before major insurances and Medicare would cover cellular regenerative medicine, but to our recent surprise, it can be covered for qualified patients. Advanced Regenerative Medicine is a major breakthrough in pain management and patient care. The processes take less than 20 minutes, have no downtime, are completely natural, and in most cases, the pain management benefits are felt immediately.
Pain Relief Institute utilizes Digital Motion X-Ray for precise placement of Regenerative Medicine. The treatment is an out-patient procedure lasting approximately 10 minutes, and the patient can walk out and drive home following the pain management procedure.
Treatment with MLS & HILT Laser is safe. However, there are safety precautions that need to be followed in order to ensure safety. High-Intensity Laser light can be dangerous to the eyes (even closed eyes); therefore, both the patient and the clinician must wear safety goggles provided by the device supplier. As High-Intensity Laser operates at a high power, patients are asked about their sensations during the pain management treatment, and our providers may adjust the power according to each patient’s feelings.
